High Peaks Hospice Welcomes Dr. Curtis Gedney

July 28, 2020 (Glens Falls, NY) – High Peaks Hospice is pleased to announce that Dr. Curtis Gedney is joining our hospice team.

Curtis (Curt) Gedney MD, PhD, M.Div has joined the staff of High Peaks Hospice and Palliative Care as Medical Director. He has extensive experience in home and inpatient hospice, as well as palliative care in hospital and outpatient settings. Most recently he served as Director of the Hospice and Palliative Care Fellowship at MercyONE North Iowa. He received his undergraduate degree from Harvard, ministry training from Fuller Theological Seminary, medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin, and Family Medicine residency and graduate studies in literature at the University of Arizona.

Curt’s passion is providing end of life care with seriously ill patients and their families. He received the Hospice Person of the Year Award in 2008 from the Idaho State Hospice Association. He and his wife Nancy have committed themselves to a path dedicated to relieving suffering wherever it arises. He looks forward to working with the High Peaks staff to provide compassionate end of life care to the residents of upstate New York and the Adirondack region
